Crewe
Alexandra boss Steve Davis is delighted with this goalscoring form of Nigerian
born, Arsenal attacker Chuks Aneke.
Aneke at the
weekend displayed an impressive performance when Crewe played out a draw with
Coventry City.
“Chuks has
worked very hard. He's got to play up there, whether it's as the main man or
just off the front man. I don't see him playing anywhere else,” Davis said.
“At the
moment, he's hitting the target and scoring goals. If he can continue to get a
goal every couple of games, or even better a goal every game like in his last
two, that's fantastic.
He's more
than capable of doing that. He's been scoring a lot of goals in training and
the signs are very good for him. Hopefully he can keep that up.
Although
Aneke is on loan at Crewe, he has indicated an interest in a permanent move to
Crewe.
